In November 2025, Nora’s first book appeared with the highly acclaimed publisher Pluim. Hoogspanning (Tightrope) follows the same story as Nora’s performance The Leap, but with more details and through a different medium.
Hoogspanning is written in Dutch, and is available online and in book stores in The Netherlands and Belgium.
“I have read Nora’s book in one breath. She has a smooth writing style and what she writes is so personal that it feels as if you are sitting at the table with her. A story about the Imposter, who can sometimes become so large that it dominates everything. But also a story of hope – that you can find your way back, even at a high price. A beautiful, poignant and at the same time so powerful story about finding your authentic voice. A huge recommendation! ★★★★”

“Nora Fischer shows us how someone who used to love nothing more than singing completely paralyzes under both the extremely high pressure of performing and the urge to achieve perfection. From the trenches, as she tries to figure out why this happened and how she can resolve it, Nora Fischer writes with a brutal and wonderful honesty.”
